Daisetsuzan Sounkyo Ropeway

The ropeway connects Sounkyo Onsen and Kurodake. The ropeway offers a spectacular view of nature in each of the four seasons. Kurodake’s seventh station at an elevation of 1,520 meters can be reached easily in about 15 minutes by ropeway and pair lift.
Otokoyama Sakezukuri Museum

The museum exhibits the history of Otokoyama sake brewing, tools, valuable materials from the Edo period, and sake vessels, etc. During the winter season from mid-December to February, visitors can observe the sake brewing process. Free sake tasting and a store are also available.
Shujitsu no Oka

This scenic spot has become popular for its spectacular hilly landscape unique to Hokkaido. From Shujitsu no oka Hill, a panoramic view stretches out before you as far as the eye can see.
Where to leave your luggage
Coin lockers at Asahikawa Station are located outside the ticket gates, and there are three locations in total.
1. West ticket gate: Go out the west ticket gate and turn right, then turn right at the corner of the ticket vending machine.
2. East Gate: Go out the East Gate, turn left, and turn left at the corner of the ticket vending machine.
3. South Exit (east side): Go out the east ticket gate and turn right, and you will find a coin locker corner next to the south exit (east side).
In addition, there is a large baggage storage area in the “Tourist Products Information Center” inside the station. Hours of use are 9:00-17:00.
